This is the most complete canister set we've ever seen. It is marked "Made in Czechslovakia". Some of the pieces also have a Ditmar's mark which dates it to 1930-1945. It includes a large rice, flour, coffee, sugar, barley, tea and oatmeal canister (6 1/4"h x 4 1/4), oil and vinegar (8 1/2" x 2 1/2"), rare salt box with wooden cover (6 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w) and smaller spice boxes: netmeg, cinamon, cloves, pepper, spice, allspice and ginger (3"h x 2"w). The set has a lovely blue Delft decoration with sailboats and windmills. It is in very good condition with two chips, hairlines on the flour and oatmeal and the usual crazing about 5 of them. |
