Circa: 1958 Country of Origin: Japan Manufacturer: Holt Howard
These 1950s spaghetti angels by Holt Howard look like sweet Christmas figurines at first glance, but turn them over and you'll see they're really a pair of salt and pepper shakers with the holes in the back of the angel's hood and cork stoppers underneath. The angels are about 4 inches tall, one with her hands warming in a muff, the other holding a pair of red bells. They have hand painted faces with closed lush eyelashes, rosy cheeks and cupid's bow red mouths. Both are wearing the classic Holt Howard ermine trimmed spaghetti fur hooded cape. There is some paint loss to the lower edges of the red bells, no chips or damage. Foil Holt Howard label is intact on one shaker, rubber stoppers are present.
