Circa: 1930 - 1950 Country of Origin: Japan Manufacturer: Pre War Japan German Production
An assortment of eight figural glass pinecone shape Christmas ornaments dating from the 1930s to 1950s. Three are from Germany, three were made in Japan, and the two larger silver pine cones have Shiny Brite USA metal caps, but I'm not sure if they're original or replacements.
The silver pine cones are just over 3 inches high. The larger gold German cone is 3-1/2 inches. The smallest is the German orange ornament at just over 2-1/2 inches high. The Japan pinecones have white paint on the tips to simulate frost, the red German cone has white mica. When held up to the light, some are slightly transparent from loss of the inner silvering. All have good color.
