General Orders No. 2
In pursuance of orders this command is required to reduce baggage.
I. Transportation will be furnished (if possible) to each company for one wall tent, and five common tents; a limited supply of cooking utensils; a small valise or travelling bag, and blankets for each officer; one small mess kit for the officers of each company; and for company books and papers.
II. All surplus property will be held in readiness to be turned over to the Regt. Q.M. who will have the same stored at Corinth.
III. Any articles in excess of above stated allowance not turned over when hereafter ordered will be abandoned or destroyed.

Arnold C. Fenner, was 35 years old when he enlisted on August 11, 1862, as a 1st lieutenant, and was commissioned into the 112th Ohio Infantry. He transferred into Co. G, 63rd Ohio Infantry, on November 6, 1862; was promoted to captain, October 4, 1864; and was mustered out of the Union army on July 8, 1865, at Louisville, Ky.
The 63rd Ohio Infantry saw action at Island No. 10, Corinth and Iuka, Miss., Resaca, Dallas, Kennesaw Mountain, Decatur, Jonesboro, (during the Atlanta campaign), Sherman's March to the Sea, and in the 1865 Carolina's campaign.
