Circa: 1940 Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Shiny Brite
Most of these 12 small Shiny Brite glass ornaments are from the late 1930s to early 1940s. All are in Art Deco inspired ringed lantern shapes and are about 2 inches high. Most have a stepped or stacked rings design, two are a little different with a wide center band and a beehive or bullet shape bottom.
Most of the gold and silver colored ornaments have some inner silvering loss, with a semi-transparent effect when held to the light. The cobalt blue, bright pink, and red/green striped lanterns have some finish wear from age and handling. There are no chips or breaks. Three ornaments have non-Shiny Brite metal caps. The non-original box and lid are a marriage but are in good condition.
