Circa: 1950 Country of Origin: Japan Manufacturer: Mid Century Japan Production
This nice Christmas putz village house was made in 1950s Japan. The gabled Victorian style house is red with a green and white gridded roof, trimmed with white mica "snow" and rows of mercury glass tube beads representing Christmas lights along the rooftop. The front fence line is also decorated with glass bead "lights". Behind the fence at both front corners are two green bottle brush trees decorated with tiny silver mercury glass beads. There are three cellophane windows at the front and an open porthole to allow light to shine through. The opening at the back or a light bulb is larger than is typical. There's a small hole to the largest window, otherwise the house is in excellent vintage condition. Measurements: 3-5/8" high by 4-3/4" wide by 2-3/4" deep.
