Manufacturer: Emmons Costume Jewelry
Nifty vintage costume jewelry find out of an older home. A matching pair of attractive mid-century modern clip earrings marked on the clip backsides as made by Emmons. These vintage earrings have a wonderful open cascading curlicues shape. Bright and shiny with a combined gold-tone and silver-tone color (these are not made from real gold or sterling silver), with the gold coloring on the upper or outside of the curlicues and the silver coloring on the inside part.
Made of metal, but we are not sure which type, a magnet does not stick to these earrings. Measuring about 1 7/16 inches greatest length/height x 7/8 inch greatest width. The upper gold portion of the curlicues is smooth metal, while the inner silver portion has a textured look/feel. These will not be heavy to wear, weighing about 1/2 ounce for the pair unpacked.
We've provided 8 images to show from varied angles including close-ups and one with a quarter for size comparison. Please note that the camera light causes white "hot spot" reflections on the shiny metal surfaces. These reflections made it very difficult to shoot the images, particularly to capture the smooth backsides of these earrings and the manufacturer marking (we did the best we could here). They look much lovelier in person than we could show in the photographs. Please use the zoom feature to examine closely.
Excellent vintage condition. We don't see any chips, cracks or major flaws with these older earrings. There may be minor touches of wear due to age/storage/use but nothing to worry about here. Clip backs work fine.
We have other pieces of jewelry listed for sale. If you are interested in more than one, please e-mail before inputting the order. The system is set-up to calculate shipping for each piece individually and will not automatically provide you the cost savings for shipping more than one piece in the same package. We would be pleased to provide that for you. |
