This is an exceptional horn chair with matching footstool. This chair was made by famed San Antonio maker Wenzel Freidrich and is real Texas furniture. It would be a perfect complement for your ranch house, "man's room," den or barroom. The footstool has 12 horns and is covered in brown leather. It is 9 inches high and 12 x 13-1/4 inches. The chair has 13 horns on the top creating the back and arms. There are 6 horns forming the legs with ball feet. The seat is covered in brown leather. The chair is 35-1/4 inches high at the top center. It is 31 inches across from outside of the arms. Both pieces are in excellent condition. This is the best piece of horn furniture we have handled.

CURLY MAPLE EARLY LADDERBACK CHAIR
This is a wonderful, old curly maple, ladderback chair. It is 38-1/4 inches to the top of the finial in the back. The seat heigth is 16 inches. The seat is 17-1/2 inches wide at the front, narrowing to 14 inches at the back. It is 13 inches deep. The seat is 1/2 inch, flat cane (or rush) and is in excellent condition. The underside of the seat is finished like the top. The chair is sturdy and in very good condition. There are some surface or age cracks but they do not appear to affect the stability of the piece. The front rungs are worn quite a bit and curved where feet rested. It is a wonderful old chair, with a great patina and exhibitz appropriate wear for its age.

This is the finest set of American walnut Victorian chairs we have ever offered for sale! The six armchairs are solid black walnut (very heavy) and feature incredible open carved backs. Notice the winged griffins on either side of the top crest and lions with full manes on each top post. The arms have lion heads on the ends, carved wings underneath and claw feet. There is an intricately carved rope molding surrounding the seats. There skirts are shaped with carving and the curved legs end in claw feet. A sensational set of Victorian chairs! When we purchased these chairs they were quite dirty. We carefully removed the dirt gave the chairs a light overcoat of finish and polished them. Fantastic nine piece walnut Renaissance Revival Victoriandining room suite consisting of eight chairs (one arm) and a round diningtable. The dining table has two leaves (13" and 15" wide). When the topopens a center leg (replaced) supports the middle of the table. The tablehas a split pedestal base with four carved roaring lions, hairy claw feetand a shaped burled raised panel in the middle of each side of the pedestal.The skirt of the table has a band of unusual geometric inlay that is foundalso on the backs of the chairs. In addition to the inlay, the chairs havefancy turnings and incised carvings. We had the seats and backsreupholstered. It is very difficult to find matching tables and chairs fromthis period. Victorian Burled Walnut Complete Seven Piece Jeliff Parlor Suite with open arm triple back sofa, two large gents chairs, and four side chairs (all matching) Features include beautifully carved women's heads on arms with detailed long curled hair, fine facial features, locket on neck, ruffled collar, and ending with drapes and center tassel. There is a strong Renaissance Revival style throughout with raised burl medallions, rosettes, incising, scrolled crests, and turned legs. All the pieces have matching crests with carved heads having a head dress with three top balls. We attribute this fine set to John Jeliff, New Jersey. The set has been recently reupholstered in a soft rose fabric that has a cream/turquoise pattern for the sofa and side chairs. The two gents chairs are in a complimentary turquoise, rose, and amber toned tapestry. Fabulous laminated rosewood slipper chair made by John HenryBelter, NYC. This elegant chair has a top crest with "C" scrolls and carvedgrapes and flowers. The sides are all open carved with vines, leaves,grapes and acorns. There is carving in the middle of the serpentine skirt.A rose is carved at the top of each cabriole leg. Similar chairs to thisare pictured on pages 107-109 of "American Furniture of the 19th Century" byEileen and Richard Dubrow. Matched pair of laminated Rococo Victorian oak armchairs attributed to George Henkels, Philadelphia. The chairs have curved open carved backs. They have extensive incised carvings. Henkels employed the practice of laminating his parlor furniture much like his sophisticated NYC counterparts. Most pieces were done in walnut and rosewood. Items in oak are very rare! LADDERBACK CHAIR
Ladderback chair, painted. 38-1/2 inches tall to top of finials. Front legs are 16-1/4 inches and the seat heigth is 15 inches. Seat: 16-1/2 inches wide at the front and 13-1/2 inches deep. There is a stenciled floral motif on the top back slat. It is barely visible and appears to have been stained over the stencil. The flat cane is 1/4 inches wide and in very good condition. There is 1 broken and partially missing piece on the left side and 2 broken pieces on the right. The bottom or underwide of the seat caning is finished looking the same as the top. The rungs are all in good condition. This is a wonderful old, ladderback chair.
