Furniture and Accessories - 18th Century: Windsor Chairs Set of six Bent Rod-Back-Tablet-Top side chairs with seven spindles, bamboo turned legs, stretchers and spindles and an unusual decorated block shaped front stretcher. Mostly original black paint with rare original free hand decoration. Rod-Backs with step-down crest rails were popular in New England circa 1810-1825. To quote author and Windsor Chair expert Charles Santore "with its trellis-like back and turning patterns simulating bamboo, the Rod-Back has the organic feeling of a garden, quiet, simple, and frequently elegant, its style is one that I find generally delightful". 18-1/2" wide at top of crest rail, 16" wide at seat front, 17-1/2" seat height, 36" overall height. We accept time payments and quantity discounts, free delivery available with a 250 mile radius of Cape Cod. ** WE GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY OF OUR MERCHANDISE AS REPRESENTED.
