Sweet Victorian Rosewood Side Chair with aopen pierced carved top crest with the life size bird (see photos).The back has an unusual heart shape with more wonderful floraland scroll carvings. The shaped seat has carvings on the top ofeach long cabriole leg and a deep carving in the center under the seat.We had the chair newly reupholstered in a deep rose damask withdiamond tufting. Antique English Yew wood arm chair c1790. This chair was made from solid Yew wood. Yew wood is strong and one of the most beautiful woods. This chair has a high back, cut out center splat and large bulbous turnings to its legs. Excellent condition. A very comfortable chair for anyone to sit in for long periods of time. Measures 45 and one half inches high to the top of its back,17 and one half inches to the top of its seat, 27 and one half inches to the top of its arms, 22 inches deep and 25 inches to the outside of its arms.
