There is delicate metalwork with open petal flowers, scrolling, leaves, and berries on the bottom rim of the base.The underneath plate is missing and the cord was replaced long ago. The shapeof the shade is quite unusual in that it curves down but then gently up at the edge!One pull chair is replaced and the ball on the other original chain is dated "Pat May 9.11"(that is 1911).
