MUSIC/MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS:
Magnificent Steinway & Sons pia

Magnificent, all original Steinway & Sons piano in a mahoganycase. The case is in superb original finish with a decorative line andgeometric inlay around the entire case and legs. The grain of the wood is alovely highly figured mahogany. The works are original and have never beenabused. This is the "L" model and the serial number is 304773. Othermarks on the works are "NA Q1475." The piano is in good working condition. We had an expert look at it and once it is set up in a home the hammers needregulating - they don't need replacing - and it has to have a generaltuning. This piano came from the home of Newark opera diva GeorgeannaBourdon. She starred in the Essex County Opera Company and Newark CivicOpera Company in the late 1930's. We have a number of original placardsadvertising her shows. She purchased this piano new c1950 and it was inher home in Newark until her death in July 2003. The original piano chair, also signed "B. & S. Co Steinway & Sons" is being sold with the piano.Pianos are certainly not our specialty but we do know furniture. This is aGREAT case and the maker is the best.Circa: 1950Dimensions: When top is closed: 28.5"H x 73"W x 59"DFinish: Excellent originalPrice: $32,000.00
