MECHANICAL/CLOCKS: Unusual quartered oak mantel with inset clock A most unusual quartered oak mantel with inset clock. Thecenter clock has a Seth Thomas 8 day movement with time and strike. Theface is oak with raised brass numerals and hands. The door has a greatoriginal frosted beveled glass with a clear oval in the base where thependulum can be seen. There is a very impressive carved crest on top of theclock. The clock is flanked by and decorative oval beveled mirror on eachside. Below the surface is a curved skirt. The mantel has attractive "S"shaped supporting columns. The narrowest part of the opening is 38"W x41.5"H. The clock is working. MECHANICAL/CLOCKS: Victorian Mahogany Jewelers Regulator Clock Great Victorian mahogany jewelers regulator clock. This clockhas an original fancy brass lyre pendulum, single brass weight, porcelaindial and sweep second hand (replaced). The case has a cornice molding ontop. There are carvings above the dial and fluting down the sides of thecase. There is a beveled glass mirror in the bottom of the case. The doorhas an arched beveled glass (there are some scratches in the glass). Theclock originally came from Scarletts Whiskey Parlour in Brooklyn NY. Photosof the bar with its history are towards the bottom of the page. It was also in the Brass Knob Bar in Brooklyn and theCircles Bar in Staten Island.
