Unusual 5 Pc Parlour Set by John Jelliff
Unusual 5 pc parlour by John Jelliff. Set includes a sofa, 2 side chairs, and 2 arm chairs with detailed faces and carvings throughout. John Jelliff pieces, which are to be found in most major museum collections, are highly sought after. He was one of the most important cabinet makers in the 19th C. His Newerk, New Jersey workshop produced fine furniture from 1843-1890 and is best known for Renaissance Gothic Revival parlour funiture. The female head on his furniture reflects the Goddess-like face of Jenny Lind, the opera star who P.T. Barnum introduced to this country around 1850.

ANTIQUE SET OF VICTORIAN ROLLED ARM WICKER
Up for sale is this magnificent 3 piece set of Victorian 1800’s wicker which consists of two arm side chairs and a rolled arm sofa.Condition of the set is wonderful with brass toes and after all these years the set has some minor breaks but the set has been used and cared for it during that time. The loveseat measures approximate 58 inches long-44 inches tall-25 inches deep and there no cushions because it is so comfortable to set in we never had any made.Both arm chairs measure 36 inches wide. This is a rare opportunity to purchase this quality of Victorian Wicker.You may look for this set all over and you will never find this set for sale anywhere.
