Fabulous Rare Signed Tiffany Bronze Pedestal

Fabulous rare bronze pedestal signed "Tiffany & Co, Makers, 0381 7331." It has a very elegant base with the original bronze patination and silver highlights. The three legs end in well defined claw feet. It has an original thick (1 1/4") onyx top (repaired) with subtle green and blood red streaks. The repair runs along a vein in the onyx and is not noticeable from the top. We have never before seen a pedestal made by Tiffany like this. Glass-Art Glass-Tiffany:
akeslingerantiques.com IRIDESCENT VASE

This is one of my mystery treasures. 7"H,2.25"D top,2.67"D foot.Shape appearance of Tiffany early Cypiote pieces. Totally opaque glass with blue green and amethyst highlights. Wonderful broken bubble appearing surface with super rich iridescence. It appears that the foot is a continious unit with the vase rather than having been applied. Broken pontil scar. Is it Nash, early unmarked Tiffany, or Bohenium? I don’t know who did it, but it is great. OPINIONS WELCOMED. Visit http://akeslingerantiques.com for other great old artglass items.

Glass-Art Glass-Tiffany: ALTON/TREVAISE
akeslingerantiques.com TREVAISE by ALTON

874. Rare and beautiful. This is Trevaise glass produced by the Alton Manufacturing Co in Sandwich, Ma. c.1907. I was told it was unsigned Quezal by a respected glass dealer but I bought it as Trevaise glass. The key difference in my opinion is the characteristic irregular bulge on one side of the vase center, which is so typical of all the Trevaise glass I have seen. This company used glass gaffers from the Tiffany Co just as Quezal did, but operated for only 1 year. This vase measures 12.75”H, 5.25”D at center, 3 5/8”D opening, and 4.25”D base. This piece has 2 distinct horizontal lines near the base, which I have tried to photograph. These were probably caused by a minute stand of something on the glass in the manufacture. $3750 akeslingerantiques.com for fine artglass
