This beautiful Nippon vase features a waterfront scene complete with tall trees, a small house, and winding path. The soft colors lend an aura of serenity. The vase is bulbous shaped with split handles that have gold enhancement. The neck of the vase is decorated in gold with a central jewelled medallion. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Minimal gold loss to the handles. It stands 9 3/4 inches high.

H/P ROYAL NIPPON VASE. 12.5"H, 7"W body, 2.5" rim, 4.25" base. Outstanding Royal Nippon vase of Art Nouveau period. Rare example. Yes I am speaking of the Art Nouveau period 1890 to 1920. The mark is a globe mark and has the name Nishiki in the center of the globe. It is hand painted as marked and so beautiful. An excellent example of the Art Nouveau style. This 11 inch vase makes a commanding presentation. It is highly decorative with large flowers on the front and a single flower with leaves on the back. The rim and base are enhanced with a geometric and floral band. The handpainting is outlined with a very fine gold line. Great accent. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. It measures 7 1/2 inches from handle to handle. Dates between 1891-1921.

ANTIQUE HP NIPPON VASE GILDED & ENAMEL JEWELS

Antique vase, made in Japan 1891 - 1921, when the name Nippon was in use.Measures 7 1/4 inches high.Stands on 4 richly gilded paw feet, arching gently to the knees. Ovoid shaped body with a pastel, pale blue ground, narrows at the neck and flares out on the upper rim, which is moulded like fabric, square shaped, at an opposing angle to the vase, with gently scalloped edges and gilded, jeweled edges. Beautifully handles on either side - like a flipping tail, arching back and upwards. The small neck has a dark brown ground with a continuous key pattern in gold on it. The entire surface of the vase is wonderfully and very richly decorated with jewels - both gilded and enamelled. Each of the 4 sides has an enclosed reserve with handpainted roses, the front and back with raised gold outlines to the flowers and foliage. Fabulous quality.Green Nippon mark on the bottom. Very good condition. No chips/cracks/restorations.Please enquire about our other handpicked Nippon porcelain.

Antique Nippon moriage vase with handpainted flowers and applied turquoise jewels.Measures approx 6 1/4 inches high.Full, round body with 4 cartouche reserves, each beautifully handpainted with a boquet of flowers. A pair of handles on either side of the vase. Richly enamelled around the floral reserves and the ground entirely covered with small pale green and larger turquoise jewels. The latter exactly like Coalport jeweled porcelain. Rich enamelling on the neck and base. No marks to be seen.Excellent condtion - no chips/cracks/damage/repairs.

A good hand painted Nippon cup and saucer with "Wedgwood" decoration. Japan, late 19th century.Saucer measures 5 5/8inches in diameter. Cup is 2inches high.The ground is pale blue, very fine porcelain, glazed inside. Fine enough for light to shine through it. Hand painted / sculpted spriggs of flowers and butterflies, resemble Wedgwood jasperware, but shaded to show depth in a sculptural way. Dark brown borders to both pieces. Handle of cup has small applied 'spines'. Bottom of saucer has a green mark with Mnt Fuji, HAND PAINTED and JAPAN.Condition is very good. No chips/cracks. There is one tiny white spot on the saucer, but this is not damage (see photos).

ANTIQUE NIPPON HANDPAINTED GILDED ASPARAGUS B

Antique handpainted and gilded Nippon asparagus bowl / dish. Made in Japan, very early 1900's. Measures 11 3/4 inches long; 8 inches wide and just under 3 inches to top of handles. Dish has unusual base, with the bottom walls forming a wavy based support. Curved rectangle, dipping on either side to fascilitate a pair of handles, each moulded as a bent twig with 3-petalled ends. Rich gilding all along the borders and handles.The ground colour ranges from pale to sunbright yellow through red-orange tan and brown. A bunch of asparagus is painted on the surface, one of them seems to have rolled away from the bunch. Colours are pink, purple, yellow and green with brown shades. Underneath is the earliest green Nippon mark of an M in a wreath, used from 1911. Good condition. No chips/cracks/restoration. Negligible gilt loss on edge of rim, mentioned only for the sake of accuracy.
