This is a set of handmade dollhouse chairs. They are pretty unique. The purple upholstery was actually stuffed and then fitted around a wooden cutout in the back and bottom of the chairs. The larger of the chairs is missing an arm and the upholstery is lighter is some areas but they are still adorable.

There is slight overall crazing on the chair, and there is an under-the-glaze mark on one back chair leg. It is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It is not marked.

The front skirting is long and shapely with a fancy panel of beadwork and cross-hatching. The splayed legs are cane wrapped and adorned with curlicues ending in brass caps. This ornate antique Victorian wicker arm chair has elaborate designs throughout. Framed by a serpentine roll ending in curlicues and fancy twist-wrapped balls. Intricate weaving, including latticework panels, flat weaving, ribbon and loop designs, curlicues, and figure 8 designs. Puffy, long full skirting. Set in cane seat. Large and ample seat. This chair is in excellent condition with a few very minor reeds to be replaced here and there. Old white paint. Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company. Circa 1890's.

The chair has a set in cane seat that will be replaced. The cane wrapped cabriole front legs end in brass caps.Circa 1890's.
