Avon's 1876 Cape Cod pattern was introduced in 1976 as part of the Bi-centennial celebrations in the USA. The pattern is based on the Roman Rosette pattern that was produced by Sandwich Glass Works of Cape Cod. Avon continued to market the pattern until it was discontinued in 1993. The rich ruby glass was produced by Wheaton Glass Company. Offered here is the large size oval platter in excellent condition. The platter measures 13 1/2 inches by 10 3/4 inches. This is a set of Avon salt and pepper shakers. They are egg shaped, the bottom is milk glass with a daisy, yellow flowers and a butterfly on the front, and the top is made of yellow plastic. They are 2 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter at the widest part. On the bottom of one it says Avon 5 and Avon 3 on the other. They are in great used condition and have no chips or cracks. The tops eqach have the same sixe holes. This delightful set would brighten any dining table. A great addition for an Avon or salt and pepper shaker collection. Transfer decoration is excellent.

In 1989, a non-stick surface was added to certain pieces and in 1992 Corning introduced a new Cranberry color.This Pyrex Visions 0 .5L Covered Saucepan (1 Pint) has the words Visions Corning USA and 0.5L on the top side of the handle. The lid has the number 7 on one side and 6 on the other, just to the right of these numbers Pyrex P81C. It is shown on page 121 of the 2006 book titled Corning Ware & Visions Cookware by Kyle Coroneos. According to Coroneos, it was produced from 1983-?. The stovetop and dinnerware product lines were halted in the year 2000. The original pyroceramic glass version of CorningWare is no longer sold in the US market. it is only available on the secondary market. The stovetop and dinnerware product lines were halted in the year 2000. The original pyroceramic glass version of CorningWare is no longer sold in the US market. it is only available on the secondary market. It is in very good condition and looks like it is either very lightly used or unused. Add it to your 20th century American glass kitchenware collection today.
