Figurative China, Half Dolls, Busts & Miscellaneous Figurines:
Santa Claus Cookie Jar, Japanese.
Very large cookie jar or biscuit barrel - Santa Claus (looking a bit Japanese) dressed in orange and yellow robes green buttons. Jar measures about 20 cm high and the same wide, handle to handle (8 inches by 8 inches). Very good condition - some normal wear to the gilding of his hat bobble and the handles, and a fair sized chip inside the lid on the inner rim where the inner rim sits inside the barrel itself. A couple of dots in the green lustre glaze surrounding his head. Very quaint object!

(Where could one line up to buy One-Way tickets?)Perfect for the Boyds Collector. There is one tiny flaw where color/glazing missed- see picture near right ear of baby bear.
