Terrific vintage ceramic cookie jar crafted in the classic drum shape one would find in the old fife and drum manner.The raised cording design gives this cookie jar that feeling of early Americana. It stands 7 inches tall to the rim, and 11 inches tall to the top of the eagle finial lid, and has a 6 inch diameter.The background color is mustard, ochre with the highlighted bands and cording done in a hunter green color, and the word cookies painted in red.Some of the painted areas have worn away, but there are no chips, cracks or flakes on this jar. How terrific is this? If you are searching for that special Early Americana or Retro look for your kitchen, dining area, this certainly fits that description. Created in 1978 by Maleck/MaLeck Wood Crafts of Wingate, North Carolina, this cookie box or jar stands 9 inches tall without the lid and is 6 inches wide.Constructed of hardwood, and finished in dark brown stain, there is a decorative panel made from a wafer thin slice of wood with a country or primitive look. Features rolling pin, cookie cutter, milk, and the word, Cookies front and center, signed by artist F. Chaney. This cookie jar is fitted with a removable, plastic bin insert, making clean-up an easy process. Practical and functional, yet so display worthy and wonderfully crafted. We do note that there is wear to the finish at the lower edge on all four sides, and on the lifting knob of the lid. The wood could be touched up, but we believe that this adds to its primitive, country charm.

One of the most adorable little figural sets that were so popular in the mid century era. "Cabbage Cuties" also called "Cissy Caggage" in Lefton's 1964 catalog. Seven items are pictured in the catalog however I know of one more making it 8. They are numbered in the 2120 range on the bottom of each item. The set of 7 items pictured includes a Cookie Jar, Tea Pot, Sugar bowl, Creamer, 8 inch dish, Salt & Pepper and a Spoon Rest. There is also a Jam Jar. Made by the George Z Lefton company circa 1950-1960's this is a Very Hard To Find collection!. I bought this one several years ago and haven't seen another piece since. Cissy is an adorable little blonde girl adorned in a cabbage bonnet sitting atop each piece except of course the creamer which is open. The hand painted detailing is beautiful and her little face is so life like who could resist her? *This listing is for the "Condiment Jar" ~6 inches tall.~Excellent vintage condition with no chips cracks crazing or repairs. ~Marked on bottom with the number "2127" and has "JAPAN"Colors are still bright and beautiful. Vintage Lefton~Dutch Boy~Milk Pitcher
The "Lefton Dutch" series made by the George Z Lefton company Circa 1950's-60's is one of my favorite Figural collections. I have some of the pieces in my personal collection and I am always on the look out for more. There are "Dutch Girl" and also "Dutch Boy" items and some feature both like the Salt & Pepper set. The boys are harder to find. Such sweet faces and wonderful hand painted details like the tulips and little wooden shoes make this set truly irresistible. He is 5 inches tall & in Excellent condition with no chips cracks crazing or repairs. On the bottom: "2698" and the red & gold sticker "An Enterprise Exclusive Toronto Canada" Plus the lion painted on with the "ESD Japan Handpainted" and number 22073. Pictured in the Lefton Collectibles book and valued at $65.00. Other pieces include a teapot~creamer~butter dish~cookie jar~egg cup & salt & pepper set. Collect them all! Enesco: ~Winkin' Kitten Collection~Rare
Enesco Winkin' Kitten~ Coffee Jar
These little cuties are "Hard to Find" & even harder to resist. The "Winkin' Kitten" also known as "Winking Kitty" collection made by Enesco circa 1950-1960's is one of the cutest I have seen. They just make you happy with their adorable daisy heads & pink noses & little tongues licking their chops! Hand painted detailing is wonderful and the colors are still as bright as the day they were made. *This is the "Coffee Jar"~4.5 inches tall. Loop on back for a spoon.~Excellent condition with no chips cracks crazing or repairs. Just a few rough spots I believe to be from manufacturing. Lid still has cork around inside to keep coffee fresh.~Red & Silver sticker on bottom reads""IMPORTS ENESCO JAPAN"Purrfect for the kitty cat or figural lovers. Please see all pictures. Collect them all I did! Such sweet faces and wonderful hand painted details like the tulips on her dress and the wooden shoes sticking out make them truly irresistible. *This is the "Cream Pitcher"~She is 5 inches tall~Very good condition with no chips cracks or repairs. She does have some age crazing and a few tiny rough spots that could be fleabites or factory flaws. ~Pictured in the Lefton Collectibles book and valued at $55.00**This piece is very unusual because there are no markings on the bottom. There is blue glazed paint that might have been accidentally put on during the manufacturing process that is covering up the number. There is normally no paint on the bottom. Also the painting is a little off so maybe a new worker did this one and she got by inspection. Still a great piece!Perfect for the Lefton or the Dutch figural collector.
