California Originals Bear On Stump cookie jar. Very cute baby bear with beehive cookie jar. It shows the baby bear eating the honey out of the beehive. The jar is a tree trunk. This was identified in The World Of Cookie Jars and valued between $75 and $95 in 2000. It measures 14 3/8 inches high with lid. There are no cracks and no chips, it is in excellent condition except for a few tiny areas of missing paint. 05PDP030.

Large Vintage Rooster Figurine
For sale is a large attractive vintage rooster figurine. Bottom has incised mark: Atlantic Mold, and the ceramicist's signature of which I cannot make out. It stands 14.25 tall x 12 long. I thought one of the tail feather edges was chipped off, but there is glaze on this; so perhaps it fell off in the first firing, then was glazed over in the 2nd firing. At any rate, it really is not noticeable or distracting and this is a gorgeous old rooster. I have had this on my mantle for many, many years, so I do know it is vintage, but is not antique. It would be fabulous in a country or french country style kitchen or dining room.

Vintage Japan Shakers and Sugar Bowl
For sale is are vintage Japan shakers and sugar bowl. (3 items, one price!). This is a pair of fat little tea kettles with wire bail handles, and has a rooster motif on the frontside! These have the cork stoppers and remnants of a Japan label on bottom. You also get a vintage Made in Japan spooner with these as your free gift!. Large Vintage Italian Rooster Pitcher
For sale is a large vintage Italian rooster pitcher. (signed). Large, heavy, but fabulous signed Italian pitcher; (signed: Sala #478 Italy). It has a very worn, smooth, dark bottom dry rim indicating it is quite old. It is 12.5 high x 9.5 wide, from handle to spout, and is 27 inches around at the widest part. It features a rooster on each side and some wheat stalks. It does have a few condition flaws but still displays quite nicely. It has a little surface chip off the interior rim, two small surface chips of the exterior rim, and a 1/2 inch tight hairline on the interior rim near the spout, and one small surface chip off the front bottom portion. Sounds like a lot, but as you can see from the pics, these minor flaws really do not detract from this piece, and you will not even notice them without really looking hard. (see Antiques Roadshow, 6/26/06 show; similar pottery style and colors on an ovoid jug referred to it as 'Italian Majolica'.

Vintage Red Rooster Kitchen Collectibles
For sale are vintage red rooster kitchen collectibles. (cannister set, spice jars, hamburger press). 3 cool vintage woodenware items featuring red roosters! First, is a complete cannister set featuring hand painted roosters. This one has a blue & silver foil label on the bottom of the coffee cannister which reads: Hand Painted Betson's Made in Japan. All the cannisters, (coffee, tea, & sugar & flour, including the lids, all stack into the large flour container too!) They are all in good display condition but the back of the coffee cannister has one horizontal split in the wood; and the front of the tea cannister has some black smudgy marks, (looks like the black coloring in the word Tea may have ran a bit). Also, each rooster picture is slightly different, by design, on each cannister. Next is a spice set with 4 containers: Allspice, Salt; Paprika and Pepper. Each are 3 tall x 1.75 wide. Bottoms have incised Japan mark. Last is a hamburger press with red rooster. Back of hamburger press has black stamp: Marbo, Japan. It is 5.5 wide, good display condition too. Most of these wood rooster items were made in the 1950's and earlier.
