Porcelain and Pottery - Occupied Japan: Cookie, Biscuit Jar Tomato Shape Cookie Jar, Wicker Handle, Occupied Japan Pottery/Ceramic A biscuit or cookie jar with an attached wicker handle. This container stands 5 in. tall plus the handle. There is one tiny glaze miss on the handle holder. I believe from the mfg. process.Bottom marked Made in Occupied Japan in black. This would date it from '46-'52 when all items produced in Japan had to be marked this way. It measures 4.75 in. diameter. Tomato shape with handpainted leaves and decorated stem on the lid. No chips, cracks or repairs. Use, display and enjoy.

Occupied Japan: Wall Pockets Occupied Japan Three Geese Wall Pockets Rare Set of 3 Geese Wallpockets, Vintage, Made in Occupied Japan. The largest goose in this hard-to-find set measures 10 3/4" long and 9" high. The second is 9 1/2" long and 7" high and the third is 7 3/4" long by 5" high. They are painted in beautiful vivid colors and each has two holes in the back for hanging and an opening in the top for the flowers. (See photographs). They have crazing due to their age but there are no cracks or chips. Very good condition and each is marked "Made in Occupied Japan". In addition, one has the remnants of the old "Hales Brothers" label. (Hales was a department store in San Francisco and Oakland during the 40's and 50's).
