It is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The color is bright as is the glaze. It is appropriately marked on the bottom, however it doesn't show up well in the picture. This is a clean cookie jar, inside and out. Measures 10 1/8" tall.

$ 249.00	Porcelain and Pottery - Shawnee: Cookie Jars Shawnee Shamrock Smiley Cookie Jar This Shamrock Pig cookie jar has a lot to smile about - the Shawnee Pottery Smiley cookie jars are among the favorites of collectors! This Smiley stands 11 1/4" tall and is marked appropriately "USA" on the bottom. He is wearing a green kerchief around his neck and is decorated with green clover leaves and brown highlights. His facial features are brown and pink. Condition is excellent with no cracks, chips or visible crazing. He is clean inside and out with only a few typical pottery flaws such as a pinprick glaze miss or bump. There are also a few tiny spots of cream colored paint here and there that didn't come off when washed - looks like he might have been left uncovered during a kitchen makeover. Normal slight roughness felt on the rim due to the lid going off and on over years but no visible chips. All in all he's some pig!!

Is a great double handled jar/tub/bucket shaped with horizontal ridges. At one time the front was handpaintd, some "specks" left from the original paint. It DOES NOT have it's original lid. Someone made a ceramic lid to replace the original one. Has a few chips on it. The large cookie jar is in great shape for its apparent age. Is a "tiny" glaze flake or pop on the handle, and two small chips on the inside, underside of rim. Needs to be cleaned from storage grime. Measures 8-1/4"H, 26" around at its widest point. (Measures 10-1/2"H with the lid.) Inside is very clean, alittle "pop"in glaze on the bottom. It definately would hold a lot of cookies. Nice solid and heavy as you know Shawnee pottery is. (Maybe you are looking for the cookie jar bottom to complete your set, would also look great as a bit of decorative pottery or use as a great vase feature.
