Stunning antique tray with grey overglaze mark, L S & S Limoges France, as shown in M. Gaston's book. Incised number #10 on back also. The painting is very unique on this tray; w/raised scrolled edges, gold fronds, and spectacular coleus? leaves with raised enameling. It is 10.25 long x 8 wide. It has one small flake off backside edge which is not visible on front display side. A work of art for your collection! Signed in gold on backside: 'Alice E. Liviergatore?', (a bit difficult to make out the last name), 1896; and green Limoges, arrow symbol over France shown on pg. 351 of M. Gaston's book; mark for Laviolette c:1896-1905. The painting on this tray is very fine! Good size tray with no chips or cracks; just a bit of wear off the gold on the rim edge, nothing visually impairing. It is 12 long x 8 wide. Features pink dahlias and raised gold design.
