Sugar Bowls and Creamers:
McCoy Brown Drip Sugar Bowl w/Lid and Creamer

This lovely brown drip patterned lidded sugar bowl and creamer was made by the McCoy Pottery Company and is marked on the bottom: McCoy / #7020 / USA. McCoy pottery is one of the most recognized names in American pottery. J. W. McCoy Pottery was established by James W. McCoy in 1899. McCoy Pottery was owned and operated by four generations of McCoys until 1967 when it was sold to the Mount Clemens Pottery Company. It was sold again in 1974 to the Lancaster Colony Corporation and continued to produce pottery for another 16 years. The demand for less expensive products and the availability of foreign goods caused McCoy's profits to decline steadily until 1990 when they ceased operation.Both are in very good condition, but each has a dot manufacturers flaw that has been glazed over as I have shown in my pictures. The creamer measures 3 3/4 inches tall, 5 inches spout to handle and 2 3/4 inches wide while the sugar bowl measures 4 1/4 inches tall with lid and 4 1/4 inches wide. A wonderful addition to any McCoy Pottery Collection.SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions please contact me and thank you for looking.

Vintage Brown Drip USA Creamer

vintage creamer For sale is a vintage brown drip USA creamer. Attractive and quite heavy, brown drip creamer with a USA underglaze mark. This could either be a Hull Gardenline, McCoy Brown Drip line, (both are almost identical), or Watt Pottery. No chips or cracks and measures almost 5 high. (I just acquired a McCoy creamer, and putting this next to the McCoy and a Hull pitcher I have, it resembles the Hull more than the McCoy, but then again, every piece is slightly different in color because of the drip glaze)

Spice Jars, Baskets, etc.: Kitchen_Collectibles
Vintage Spice Set

For sale is a vintage wood spice cabinet and 12 glass spice jars. The rack looks like a 1960's-70's rack; the pattern/colors looks like some of the McCoy dinnerware from that period. The wood on the cabinet is showing age; you can use Old English scratch cover to spruce it up, or paint it yellow, green, red or white which would make it really cute. No cracks or chips on jars; but they could use a more thorough cleaning, (they had spices in them which I dumped out). This rack is freestanding or can be hung and is 16 tall x 11.25 wide. No labels for jars. USA destinations only. 6/09dixcs

Vintage USA Buttermilk Pitcher

vintage pitcher For sale is a vintage USA buttermilk pitcher. (or batter, or syrup). Nice old buttermilk pitcher. The glaze resembles one of the USA casserole dishes I have for sale; it is quite contemporary looking, but you can see by thick, worn smooth bottom rim, that this is an old one! Probably made by McCoy, RRP, or Morton back in the 1920's-30's. It stands 5 high x 4.5 wide across top rim. It has a piece of clay waste near top rim as you can see in the pics, (common on old pottery/stoneware items like this), and a glaze miss off spout end. It is smooth so I do not think it is a flea bite. Nice item for your vintage stoneware or kitchen collection! (I also have a mixing bowl for sale that looks very similar in coloring to this pitcher; see pics)

$ 78.00
Kitchen Collectibles:
Vintage Pottery Salt Box with Wood Cover

Vintage Pottery Salt Box with Wooden Cover. Ivory body with Blue Rooster and Hen transfer decal and handpainted wide brown accent bands. This heavy stoneware salt box is made to hang on the wall or sit on the counter. It has overall age related crackling of the clear glaze. There is what appears to be a slice off the top backside (see pics) which may be from manufacturer or use, I'm not sure. There is also a small area on the bottom brown color band with what look like tiny cuts into the clay and a very tiny glaze rub. It has an excess clay deposit on the inside bottom, some extra glazed over clay spots and a couple of darker specks under the glaze. It is unmarked, but on the bottom rim, someone has written XPL? and incised several numbers, apparently dates, but I cannot decipher them. While the defects sound substantial they actually add to the charm of this piece which is likely from the 1930s-1940s era, possibly older. Brush-McCoy, Hull and other companies made these salt boxes in the early part of the last century. Most did not survive and many reference books only show them on the catalog pages.
