USA Pottery Green Pillow Vase

USA Pottery Pillow Vase in pale green color with grey speckles. This pillow vase is marked USA only but it is most likely made by McCoy. The McCoy books show these vases as part of the Garden Club line, 5 1/2'' x 4'' and state they are marked McCoy. This vase is not marked McCoy but it does measure 5 1/2'' wide and 4'' tall and the USA mark is like the one they used. Regardless of the maker, this vase is definitely vintage USA pottery. It is in excellent condition. This vase makes a good planter or handy and attractive desk accessory.

$ 28.00
AMERICAN ART POTTERY & UNSIGNED PIECES:
VINTAGE ART POTTERY TURQUOISE BUTTERFLY PLANTER POT

What a nice planter! In the style of McCoy and USA pottery, this glossy finish greenish turquoise dish looks to date to the 1940s or 50s. It measures approximately 9 1/4" wide, 5 5/8" deep, and 3 3/8" high. The embossed design has a nice relief and is quite lovely with its repeating design of flowers (roses?), leaves, and a nicely detailed butterfly on each of the two long sides. In excellent condition, the planter is free of damage or repair. There is a little wear on the bottom and a few small spots where it misglazed, but that's quite common with this genre of American Art pottery. Unmarked, I would classify this as similar quality of USA and McCoy pottery.

$ 12.50
American Pottery: Unsigned
Vintage Tiki Leilani Brown Pottery Tumbler

Vintage Tiki Leilani Brown Pottery Tumbler. Unmarked except for the Tiki Leilani encircling the bottom. Some of these were made in Japan for Hawaiian restaurants. But McCoy Pottery also made these tiki tumblers. While not marked as such (they would not mark them McCoy as they were made specifically for a client--with the client's name) this tumbler is a much heavier pottery than typical Japan ceramics. Measures 5'' tall and has no chips, cracks or crazing. You can use it for tropical drinks if you wish, but they also make good pencil holders or vases.

$ 30.00

Weeping Gold Pottery Pitcher

This pottery pitcher has the glazed white interior and ''Weeping Gold'' exterior USA pottery companies made during the 1950s. McCoy made a line they called Sunburst Gold which is very similar. This pitcher is unmarked--it would have had a sticker originally--and there are faint marks on the flat, dry base but I cannot make them out. Because of the 22K or 24K gold used in the decorations these ''Weeping Gold'' pieces were costly to make. This elegant pitcher stands 7'' tall and is in very good condition.

American Pottery: USA Pottery
Vintage USA Pottery Matte White Vase

Vintage USA Pottery Matte White Vase measuring 5 1/4'' tall and 4 1/2'' wide. Marked only USA on the bottom. McCoy made a group of 5'' vases but we cannot locate it in the references. Hull, Shawnee and Camark also made similar items. Very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing just a little mineral deposit which should come out with a little CLR. Add this to you American matte white pottery collection.

$ 25.00
American Pottery: USA Pottery
Vintage USA Pottery Matte White Shell Bowl Planter

Vintage USA Pottery Large Matte White Shell Shaped Console Bowl Planter. It is marked only USA (faintly visible on bottom) and stands on 3 small feet. The style and quality is similar to vintage McCoy, Shawnee, Camark and Hull products. Heavy weight, measures 11'' long, 8 1/2'' wide and 2 1/4'' tall. There is the faintest hint of mineral deposits from use--hard to notice actually. No chips, cracks or crazing. Perfect addition to a vintage American made matte white pottery collection.

$ 24.00
American Pottery: USA Pottery
Vintage USA Pottery Matte Aqua Column Bud Vase

Vintage USA Pottery Matte Aqua Bud Vase in a Graceful Column Shape. Unmarked with 3 dry runners on the base typical of American pottery--possibly Brush-McCoy, Shawnee, American Bisque, Hull, Camark or Red Wing? Measures 7 1/2'' tall and 2 1/8'' wide. Very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. This is a quality made bud vase with the soft, satiny finish you cannot find on the junk pottery and reproductions being made today.

$ 18.00
American Pottery: USA Pottery
Vintage USA Pottery Pink Deco Style Vase

Small Vintage USA Pottery Pink Deco Style Vase. Marked only with incised 681 U.S.A. on the bottom. We believe this is a Brush-McCoy vase, circa 1940, but cannot locate it in the reference books right now. Measures 6'' tall and 3 1/2'' wide. There is a small chip on the upper rim (see pictures) and a white area on the interior where the pink glaze did not cover.

$ 17.95
Porcelain and Pottery-American: Shell Planters

USA Pottery Christmas Tree Serving Tray or Platter

Vintage USA Pottery Christmas Tree Serving Tray or Platter. Measures 14'' tall and 11 3/4'' wide. It has an incised USA mark. I believe it was made by either McCoy or American Bisque. I cannot locate it in my McCoy books, but the USA mark looks very much like the one they used in the 1970s, however the colors are similar to American Bisque--or Metlox. Regardless of which pottery company made this platter, it is a wonderful find. It has the old-timey Christmas tree look you cannot get with the newer mass produced items. It does have the light crackling to the shiny glaze so common to the vintage pottery. There is one spot on the inside of the tree branches (see pics) that could be a small chip, but it looks and feels smooth, more like a mis-cut during production. There is a spot on the base of the tree trunk that looks at first to be a small chip, but it is actually a paint skip that is fully glazed. This is a wonderful Christmas Tree Serving Tray or Platter to add to a vintage Christmas collection.

Large Orange USA Pottery Leaf Dish with Gold Trim

Very Large Vintage Leaf Dish in a bright sunshiney orange color with embossed veining and gold spray trim. This piece is unmarked but matches a smaller, marked piece also listed on this site. Like most of the vintage USA pottery, it is quite heavy and very well made. There a small rough area on the bottom rim which appears to be manufacturing. This leaf dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. While McCoy Pottery made a similar design and colors, this is more likely a California pottery product. It does have three visible stilt marks on the bottom. Measures 13 1/2'' long, 12 1/4 wide and 2 1/4'' deep. The colors and style make it perfect for the buffet-style entertaining California made famous.

(copyright) 727 and matches a larger, unmarked piece also listed on this site. This leaf dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. While McCoy Pottery made a similar design and colors, this is more likely a California pottery product. Measures 6 1/2'' long, 6 1/2 wide and 2'' tall. The colors and style make it perfect for the buffet-style entertaining California made famous.
