"For about six decades, the L.G. Wright Glass Company has conducted its business from the small town of New Martinsville, West Virginia. Yet this firm has remained generally unknown to the American glass collecting public for many years. Its founder, L.G. 'Si' Wright was a private man, and the company did not advertise its wares or distribute a retail catalog. Nonetheless, some pioneer glass researchers, such as Minnie Watson Kamm and Arthur Peterson, learned of the Wright company and mentioned some of its glassware, but the extent of the Wright line was a well-kept secret. Churchill’s words are appropriate: '…a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.'
