Lancaster Clear Depression Glass Fuschia Cut Wide Rim Vase
Very nice cut clear glass vase from the depression era has a wide curved rim and a neat hourglass shape. This may be from Lancaster Glass, identified by comparing to the photos on page 144 of Zastowney's recent Lancaste Glass Company book. The vase in his photo has the same shape and is identified as Fuschia, line 01 1/2. Regardless of maker, this is a great shape for flowers, including trailing blooms like sweet peas. Vase is 5 3/4 inches tall at the rim and 8 inches across measuring from rim edge to rim edge. It is clear glass. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, no water stains and very minimal wear. There are a couple of flaws, including small straw marks and one spot on the side where the cutter apparently slipped and put a few tiny extra cuts. The design is fuschia blooms with leaf sprays, repeated three times around the rim. The petals and leaves were cut with fine parallel lines and the flower centers are single cuts. This is a great retro vase that is a wonderful example of the fine cut glass that was widely available during the depression. You'll enjoy having and displaying this one! Depression Glass-Lancaster: Cane Lundrum Topaz Depression Glass
Lancaster Glass Cane Landrum 765 Topaz 11 3/4 inch Low Console Bowl
Here is the beautiful low console bowl in Lancaster Glass' Cane Landrum pattern, line number 765. This has the lovely scalloped edges between arched points and the cane molded design in the center. The Landrum design is mold etched with fanciful paisley motifs, scrolls and lavish flowers and lotus flowers or peacock feathers. It was hard to photograph to show both the delicate topaz yellow and the intricate design. Bowl is 11 3/4 inches across at the widest and a little over 2 3/4 inches tall at the tip of the graceful points. It is in extremely good condition, with no chips and no cracks, great clarity and virtually no wear. The only signs of age are a bit of wear on the bottom from being over 70 years old. Lancaster introduced this pattern about 1932 and it is still popular today, rightly so given the beautiful design and shape.

Lancaster Glass: Lancaster Lace
Lancaster Lace Open Work Crystal Salad Plate
Lancaster Glass produced this salad plate in the pattern known as Lace or some refer to it as Open Work. It is approximately 8.25 inches in diameter and has no nicks, chips or cracks but does have some light scratching. On the back in the center of each piece of open work you can see a line at first we thought it might be cracks, but after looking though a loop, and taking account it is only on the back and not through to the front that it is some type of straw or mold mark. This is not Hockings Old Colony since it does not have a rayed bottom.
