SIX Crystal SHERBETS with GREEN STEMS
Sherbet, crystal, green. This is a set of six Depression glass sherbets. They have faceted crystal bowls and green stems. During the depression years, glass manufacturers started adding more iron oxide (commonly known as rust) to the glass mixture known as 'vaseline', and still included the Uranium Dioxide. This had the effect of making the glass more green. Because of this, most green depression glass will glow some, though usually not as bright as the yellow-green vaseline variety. The photo below shows how the stems fluoresced under black light. Height: 3 1/8 inches. Very good condition.

1925 Duncan Miller Fleur di Lis Scroll Garniture Set, Console Bowl and Candle Holders. This gorgeous depression glass set is pink glass. The bowl is 12 inches dia. x 3-1/2 inches tall. The candle holders are 4-1/2 inches dia. and 1-5/8 inches tall. They have two gold bands (with 99% of the gold intact) and a lovely etch of leafy fluer de lis and roses. The etch was probably done by Wheeling Glass Co. This set dates to the 1925. They are all in the excellent condition with no chips or cracks and just minor use imperfections.

Etched Depression Glass Bowl
For sale is a gorgeous etched depression or elegant glass bowl. I cannot locate the pattern, but it might be Heisey or Paden City. The pattern is of a cone shaped vase on it holding flowers, with ribbons and bows, similar to 'Portia', not not quite. This bowl is 16 wide from end of handle to other end or 9.75 wide not measuring handles; and 3.5 tall. There is one minor flaw; on one of the handle ends is a tiny chip, not prominent or visible from one side. It might be a rare pattern because I have perused 3 books and cannot locate the pattern. 10/08commcs

PAIR 9" CENTRAL GLASS CANDLESTICKS~1923
Elegant pair of candlesticks that were originally part of a console set called "Memphis" made by Central Glass Co. in 1923, and featured in Hazel Weatherman's Depression Glass #2 book. The holder tops were originally covered with gold but now, very little remains on the top surface although there is still quite a bit remaining on the undersides. Directly under the top gold and in a 1 1/8" wide circular band on the bases, is an application of pretty, translucent, daffodil yellow enamel. The pair stand 9" high with a 5 1/2" diameter base and each of the mold-blown crystal pieces weighs-in at a substantial 1 1/4 lbs. The two are in excellent condition ... no chips, nicks, scratches, or 'flea bites', and with the appropriate amount of normal bottom wear. With the clear stem and delicate yellow accent, these would go well with any setting.
