CIVIL WAR: OUTDOOR ALBUMEN PHOTOGRAPHS pair of outdoor photos mounted back to back- 1) of Indian War era British earls and friends, incl RC Eden, and the Earls of Sandwich, Guilford, etc, seated at lunch at base of a hillside, possibly Western, US. w pencil inscr id. On reverse of the mat is another mounted image, a photo of 30 American Civil War soldiers, incl 2 African-Americans in front of the Union Army Chapel at City Point, Virginia, January 20, 1865. Both images are vg w exc detail, the English image is a very rare and possibly unpublished Crimean War salt print. Roger Fenton did a huge series of such images in the 1850s. The images are mounted on an 8 x 10" mat.
