Vintage Bakelite 3 Banana Pin/Brooch
Here's a pin that you've probably been searching for--the 3 banana bakelite pin. The top is a solid piece of green bakelite measuring 1 1/4 inch by about 1/2 inch. The leaves are carved into the bakelite. The three dangling bananas really are very realistic. These too are bakelite in a dark yellow color with some brown banana markings painted on. The bananas are attached to the bakelite leaves and the string is embedded in the bakelite.The pinback is a simple c clasp and does show wear. The pin itself is discolored but is in working condition. The pin is not riveted and may be glued but it is very sturdy.

For your Bakelite collection or just to look smashing for fall, we have this great pair of dangling Bakelite earrings. The top of the earrings has a goldtone flower set with a small red bead. Suspended from the earring is a faceted bicone bead of red Bakelite cut so that there are four white Bakelite diamond shaped flat surfaces on the bead, dangling from that is a large, 1/2" wide x 3/4" long, cylinder of red Bakelite. They measure 2inches long. The clip-on earrings have hinged, screw-on backs in goldtone metal. There are several nicks on the edges of the red cylinders but are not noticable when worn. They are not marked but will be a great addition to your Bakelite collection and sure to get you noticed!

A nifty bakelite handle piece, a bottle opener with a can piercer top (can opener). Handle has a free-form mixture of multiple brown and amber colors.
