I really think it is a match holder, (for wood stick matches), because it is too small to be a vase, and a bit too large to be a toothpick holder. It is only 2.75 tall x 3 wide, and has a mold line on each side. It has a leaf motif which is hard to see on the upper portion. (A similar item is shown on pg. 161 of the 1995 book by B. Newbound, [same shape], but the picture is not clear enough to see if that item has the leaf design on it, and the one in the book is solid white, not green and white). Czechoslovakian man shaped double match holder, 5" tall with one chip on left side holder. Shown in close-up below. Made in the 1930’s, with good color, Base marked twice with Czechoslovakia stamp, and appears to have been "shaved" in one area, as if someone were testing the clay. Books for $75, but price at $30 here because of condition noted earlier.
