This is the earliest, the 1st Austrian Bond to finance W.W.I. As early as 1912 the Ministry of Finance ordered mint designs for a "new kind of bonds". On September 9th 1914 they finally decided to issue a War Bond. This one has been designed by Rudolf Junk, a well known Austrian Art Nouveau artist. Denomination 2000 Kronen.
