1st Austrian Bond to finance W.W.I. Impressive Art Deco design.
As early as 1912 the Ministry of Finance ordered mint designs for a "new kind of bonds".
On September 9th 1914 they finally decided to issue a war bond. No issue - number has been stated which shows that the authorities for Military and Financial matters thought that World War I would end soon.
7 more issues should follow. This one has been designed by Rudolf Junk, a well known Austrian Jugendstil artist. Decorative, fine condition.
