'IN HONOR OF ROMAIN DE TIRTOFF WHO AS A YOUNG ARTIST IN PARIS TOOK THE INTIALS: RT AS HIS NAME AND QUICKLY GAINED INTERNATIONAL FAME AS ERTE'.
Issued in 1984 during the celebration for the artist's 92nd birthday and 80th year as a professional artist : His Works Had A Greater Influence On Fashion & Theatrical Design Than Anyone Else In The 20th Century. The Epitome Of Art Deco. Made in West Germany by Hibel Studio & Anthony Arts International, this plate is truly beautiful.
Nine & 1/4 inches in circumference, it shows a mature Santa on blue background giving a small chest of necklaces & jewelry to a beautiful woman w/green hair & an unusual green dress(no, not like Scarlett O'Hara), accented with metallic silver, white beading and gold trim.
An outstanding collectible. #547 of 7500, this 1 no box or COA.
