For sale is a vintage wood box. Nice old box marked: Philadelphia 37, PA. It is in good condition, no cracks or nails coming out. One of the smaller ends has the remnants of a paper label so it looks kind of crummy in the picture. This was was already cleaned & varnished when I purchased it, so it does not smell and the wood will be preserved. It is 13 long x 7 wide and makes a great box to make a mini-display of some of your smaller vintage items, especially if you don't have a lot of space but like vintage stuff! e.g., Ball jars; vintage kitchen towels, vintage utensils, vintage garden tools, vintage tins, etc. You could also use it as a planter box or as a table centerpiece with a great big ivy plant in it. (I have included a picture taken from Country Living magazine which shows a vintage box like this, painted white, with a huge plant in it, and it looks fabulous, click thru the pics to see this) |
