This is the 1979 Fifth Printing of PLANNING AND REMODELING KITCHENS, compiled by the Editors of Sunset Books and Sunset Magazine and published by Lane Publishing, Menlo Park CA.
Inside the 80-page softcover book are three sections of information (Planning: Where all good kitchens begin; Examples: kitchens worth a second look; Details: it’s the small things that count) and some wonderful color and black/white photos that illustrate the text.
Topics covered include basic floor plans, the work triangle, work centers, counters, flooring, walls, cabinets, appliances, wiring, lighting, ventilation, storage, getting the job done; Descriptions, photographs, and floor plans of remodeling projects and new kitchens; Serving carts, baking centers, kitchen desks, table linens, trash containers, spice storage, pantries, storing small appliances and cooking utensils.
The book is in Very Good condition with a couple of small scuffs and very minor edge/corner wear to the covers and a small area of sticker residue at top corner of front. A couple of very small stains are at top of index page.
Everything from ‘A natural kitchen for country cooking’ to ‘a kitchen built with Mexican art objects’ is here -– and if you are familiar with any of Sunset’s great books, you’ll know just how much great information is provided! (4818)
