Manufacturer: Wheatley Pottery
Wheatley Pottery of Cincinnati, Ohio was the maker of matte glaze art tile with a fleur de lys design. Measuring 6 1/8" square x ¾" thick, this has a background color of muted light gray blue, with the design in a curdled muted cranberry, with gold raised line outlines and underlayer. Dating from ca 1915, this is marked "WP" on the reverse, and is incised with design number 1085. There are 2 chips on the back side, obviously not affecting the front. In excellent condition. (#1108)
