This is a wonderful American made Dietz Comet H-4 Lantern. This is pre 1956 because in 1956 Dietz moved its lantern manufacturing to Japan. This lantern measures 8 3/8 inches tall. It still has the original glass that says Dietz H-4 iSyracuse NY USA. The back of the glass says Comet Reg’d US Pat Off. Although it is missing some of the red paint it is in wonderful condition for its age.
