This early wind up toy is a cigar smoking Scotsman in a tartan tam and golf pants. His red felt jacket is faded but has no holes or rips. He stands 8 inches tall. I'm not sure what his body and head are made of. It is some type of fibre / composition material. There is one small blemish on his cheek and some paint loss under his hat. While the wind up mechanism works and his legs shift from side to side when held in the air, he does not work when set down. He is slightly a kilter which is impacting his ability to move when standing. One shoe is slighlty flatter than the other, which I believe is the original design to faciliate his movement. There appears to have been some repair on this shoe. He is still a great character for your collection. |
