Gorgeous silver plate handled basket! This is a beauty with rich repousse work, engraving and open work. The basket is Victorian; although unmarked it is most likely French made judging from the workmanship.

| The workmanship is breathtaking. It stands 9 ¾ inches high and is 10 inches across. The condition is very nice, no repairs, dents or other damage, just light gold showing on the high spots. It gives the appearance that it has a light gold wash on the high spots, its actually most attractive effect! The attention to detail is fabulous even the bottom of the pedestal has beading. Elegant to display on a table or buffet, can you imagine it with potpourri on a hallway table! Enjoy using it and displaying it! |
