For sale is a primitive antique Star boys tool chest. This is an antique collectible, not intended for use by children; just display. Chest has vivid interior graphic picture intact! It reads: 'Star, The Boys Tool Chest, Contains a choice assortment of Tools, 750A'. (no tools are in it). This box has dovetailed edges and the interior tray is still intact too! This is quite old, late 19th, possibly early 20th C. It is 18.75 long x 6.5 wide. Overall condition is 'good antique'. It could use some Howard's beeswax, the wood is extremely dried out, and one corner needs to be glued, (it is coming loose); some areas of exterior wood are faded out. I would not let a child play with this item. It would be great as a furniture accessory piece, e.g. on a bookshelf, (on top, or inside). You could put some other vintage items in it e.g., old children's tools, etc. It has metal handles on the sides. A very unique antique! |
