The 1980 Proof Coin Set contains one coin of each denomination: a Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Washington quarter, Kennedy half dollar and Susan B. Anthony dollar.
Proof coins are struck from specially prepared (non-silver) blanks. Each coin is struck twice with highly polished dies to assure a mirror-like finish. The San Francisco Assay Office produces and packages the sets, and each coin bears the "S" mint mark. The coins are sealed in a newly-designed plastic package which protects and displays the set.
These coins have never been handled or removed from the case. They are sealed in a clear, hard plastic case with a bright red-colored background, and all of that enclosed in the mint’s original decorated box. Condition is AS NEW.
