This clock and light is made to look like a fire place. When i plug it in the fire place lit up and the second hand started moving. Did not let clock run so do not know if it will keep time. There are some ware marks on the metal lof and books. There is no damage that i can see to the face of the wooden matel. The face of the clock reads UNITED SELF STARTING.
