Manufacturer: as described The Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania still continues to make its tiles by the original method used when Henry Mercer was still alive. This tile is one of their remakes from 1976, (dated on the back), and it is a brocade tile showing a man fishing. The glazes are matte, semi matte and high glaze - and the colors are very nice. Measures 4 1/4" x 4". There is a chip on the side of the tile, next to the basket of fish, and a small chip on his left shoe - generally in nice condition - this display well. (#T-1182)
