For sale is a vintage wood tool chest. Very heavy, looks very Mission style to me. The handles and drawer pulls appear to be oak, but not sure what the rest of the wood is. Top opens; it has a key, but this key is more for looks than function. Also has 3 drawers. Interior wood is quite dry; put some Howard's beeswax on those. (This box is likely closer to antique, e.g., 1920's and earlier). You can use as a tool box, or just as a furniture accessory item. Looks good with other wood boxes stacked on it, or under a sofa table, or against a wall in your mission style room! Stuff it with some antique tools, put on a big bow, and give it as a unique x-mas gift to your special man! It really is a great looking old box! (The book on vintage tools shows some old toolboxes, not as nice as this one for $1200 and up!) Shipping to continental usa destinations only due to size and wt. |
