For sale is a large vintage oak tool box. age est: c:1920's or earlier. 22 long x 10 tall x 11 wide. The interior corners are called mortice and tenent or tongue & groove, can't recall the specific name for it, (see pic. 3). Good display condition; some aging flaws: has one tight, long split in backside panel, and is missing the top part of the metal latch on the side latch. It has a thick leather strap handle. This is a great primitive, country item. You can use this for other things besides tools tool; and makes a nice accessory furniture piece, as well as storage case for kitchen collectibles, tools, etc. These old OAK boxes sell for a ton of money at antique shows. Put a big red bow on it, stuff it with antique tools, and make your man one happy guy! Shipping to continental usa destinations only due to the size & weight. |
