AR Tetradrachm old style, 500-479 B.C. Obverse is Athena, daughter of Zeus and goddess of wisdom and agriculture, almond shaped eye, wearing a crested helmet ornamented with three olive leaves which commemorate the victory of the Athenians over the Persians at Marathon and at Salamis. On the reverse an owl stands right, head facing, with an olive twig and a crescent above.
