Beautiful wheel etched under plate with center well and Wheeling decoration known as Hammer Ending Swirls, Arrows and Flowers. This under plate is approximately 9.75 inches in diameter and the center well will hold a 3.50 inch in diameter piece of glass and this piece has a ground and polished bottom. There are no nicks, chips or cracks to the piece, but there are two manufacturer defects on the underside of the ray where the glass didn't form right, you really don't notice this because of the brilliant reflection of the ray. There is wear to the gold gilt decoration as you can see in the close up picture and there is scratching to the piece some on the edge, but mainly on the bottom where it meets the table. The wheel etch is nice and crisp, and just adds to the beauty. We have not been able to identify the manufacturer of the plate. |
