CUNARD WHITE STAR CRUISE LINES

This gorgeously litho'd cardboard menu is from the Luncheon which took place on the R.M.S. Carinthia, from Monday, November 15, 1937. The cover is done in a beautiful art nouveau style and is in wonderful condition - it would look lovely in a frame. It is illustrated with a nautical theme by famous book illustrator and commercial artist WYNDHAM PAYNE, and you can see his signature in the bottom left hand corner of the illustration. King Neptune and his trident are in the heavens, watching over the sea! The colors are bright and unfaded, no repairs or scribbles, just a tiny bit of light smudge on the outside. The front cover appears a bit marked up in my scan - I think it's time to clean my scanner. In actuality it is quite clean, just one faint line of smudge which appears horizontally through the "Cunard" insignia. There is light edge wear to the paper on the spine. The interior is in pristine condition - I have scanned just the first few lines of the quite extensive menu. It measures 7" x 9 3/4" in closed position.
